Studies & context
GLP-3 is a nickname for retatrutide, studied in adults for metabolic and body-weight outcomes. It targets GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptors: three targets, not three established benefits.
Human trialJastreboff et al. (NEJM, 2023) randomized 338 adults with obesity, or overweight plus a weight-related condition, in a 48-week phase 2 trial.
Study limitations
Receptor activity concerns metabolic signalling; measured weight change is a separate endpoint, not proof of an appetite mechanism or a PEPTIVIA product effect.
At week 48, least-squares mean body-weight change was −24.2% in the investigational 12 mg arm (starting at 2 mg), versus −2.1% with placebo; week 24 was the primary endpoint.
Study limitations
This is a specific trial arm and secondary endpoint, not expected weight loss from a purchased vial or a use recommendation.
Gastrointestinal adverse events were dose-related and mostly mild to moderate; heart-rate increases peaked at week 24 and declined thereafter.
Study limitations
Safety findings belong to the studied investigational molecule and monitored trial conditions, not PEPTIVIA’s batch.
Published research is separate from PEPTIVIA identity, content, purity, sterility and batch documentation. No source-supplier report verifies PEPTIVIA material.
